An actor, singer, emcee & wrestler — Shawnrick is a man of many talents. A friendly face in the industry, Shawnrick Hu is best known for his fun-loving, bubbly personality on and off stage.
His driving force to deliver nothing but the best came from his childhood – to put a smile across everyone’s faces. Since then, he’s steered into the path of entertainment for most of his life, committed on expanding his capabilities and coverage over the years.
As a professional emcee, he’s hosted a wide range of shows from weddings, dinner and dance, product launches to outdoor carnivals, roadshows and more.
His adaptability, creativity and skill set combined allowed him to engage audiences of virtually any size, from groups of 10 to crowds of over 25,000.
Shawnrick’s formula of success in hosting every show is to have good showmanship, defined by the ability of reading crowds accurately, understanding situations and respond with critical thinking. Importantly, to be respectful while entertaining, as well as adjusting performances to resonate with the audience.
To this day, his focus on becoming a multi-talented performer allowed him to tap onto other fields such as acting, singing and wrestling in recent years. Shawnrick has built a rich history from working with USS on performing for many show segments including Universal Studio Singapore’s Rhythm Truck, allowing him to command and conquer virtually crowds of all sizes through his voice and performances. Collaborating with Ineffable Studio, he later published his debut single, “Rest Of My Life”, available on all major digital music platforms worldwide, as well as appearing on commercials as voiceover for many household brands and more.
Some of his past works as an actor include appearance on Jack Neo’s hit movie ‘Ah Boys to Men’, Halloween Horror Nights, Hatched! with Dr. Rodney, as well as ST Car’s Anti Drink Drive Campaign.
